Products Certification
CTEC performs procedures for conformity assessment in accordance with the requirements of the European directives, necessary for affixing CE marking.
More than 20 are directives that define the categories of products requiring CE marking. General conditions of these directives contain essential requirements that must be met by a product (e.g. safety). Harmonized European standards supporting EU Directives and Regulations reflect the detailed technical specifications which meet the essential requirements.
CE marking is mandatory for many products. It is a sign of conformity indicating that a product has been evaluated and meets the safety requirements of the relevant directive.
As a notified body NB 1871 CTEC performs conformity assessment of:
- Construction Products
- Machinery
- Electrical equipment design for use within certain voltage limits
- Noise emmission by equipment for use outdoors
- Electromagnetic compability
- Personal Protective Equipment
CTEC performs voluntary certification for products from its scope.
The full scope of notification under the Directives concerned and the Regulation on Construction products can be found in NANDO (New Approach Notified and Designated Organisations) database.
